Project Overview
DistrEato is a fast-food restaurant in Madrid specializing in salchipapas and Asian-inspired dishes. The project involved designing five menus remotely, translating a retro gaming aesthetic into a functional editorial system while preserving the restaurant's existing brand colors and identity.
Creative Challenge
Build a cohesive menu system that channels the playful, nostalgic energy of retro video games without compromising readability, hierarchy, or the established DistrEato brand.
Strategy
Treat each menu as a level in a game: pixel-style typography, gaming-inspired iconography, and shadow planes guide the eye through categories, while a strict information hierarchy keeps prices and dishes effortless to scan.
Design Solution
Five coordinated menus built around pixel typography, retro UI elements, layered shadow planes, and consistent branding — translating the gaming language into a fully functional editorial system.
Results & Impact
A distinctive, on-brand menu experience that reinforced DistrEato's personality across every touchpoint and earned strong client satisfaction.
